However, it quickly becomes clear that there are far stranger forces at work, and that Woods might be leading her expedition into an ancient conflict between two vicious alien species.

A year after Michael Myers’ brutal rampage through Haddenfield, the survivors are still trying to put the pieces back together. Laurie Strode is haunted by nightmares of the attack, while Doctor Samuel Loomis’ book tour brings him back to town just as a lone figure stalks through the darkness. Michael Myers has returned to Haddenfield, and is tearing at wounds that have not had a chance to heal.

What follows is a surreal family drama and a journey of self-discovery, in which a trio of killer dolls cross paths with Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly as they set out to paint Tinseltown red.

Released from prison after serving four years, Tom Joad returns to his family’s farm in Oklahoma to discover that it has been utterly changed by the Great Depression. He joins his family on a road trip westward, towards the new opportunities waiting for them in California. However, the Joads very quickly discover that their push westward may not deliver them to a promised land.

This week, we’re doing something a bit unusual. To line up with Shark Week, we are covering the Jaws franchise. So today, rounding out the week with Joseph Sergeant’s Jaws: The Revenge.

Following the death of her son Sean in a freak shark attack, Ellen Brody becomes convinced that her family has become a supernatural magnet for sharks. Her surviving son Michael convinces Ellen to travel to the Bahamas, where she meets a mysterious sea plane pilot named Hoagie. As a relationship begins to blossom between Ellen and Hoagie, Ellen discovers that perhaps there are some secrets that can’t be escaped.

Events conspire to take Perhan away from his community, embarking on a trip to Italy with local legend Ahmed and with the promise of a new and prosperous life waiting for him. Inevitably, Perhan discovers that this life is not what was promised, and faces the possibility that he might also be something different than he expected himself to be.

Federal Marshall Teddy Daniels makes a trip across Boston Harbour to visit the psychiatric institution on Shutter Island, investigating the mysterious disappearance of one of the patients. However, as Teddy probes deeper and deeper into the workings of the facility, it becomes very clear that things are not as they appear.
