Denji is a Japanese teenager with the ability to turn himself into a human chainsaw. He has been hired by Public Safety to hunt down demons. However, a chance encounter with a beautiful young coffee shop worker named Reze has the potential to completely alter the trajectory of Denji’s life, teaching him the true value of love.

Without any humans around to give her a task, the robot searches for purpose among the island’s animal inhabitants. She stumbles across a young gosling, taking on the task of raising the small bird. Although parenting is not part of her programming, this wild robot discovers that love is a powerful force.

Unable to follow through on his assignment, kamikaze pilot Kōichi Shikishima returns to the base on Odo island. However, his trip is interrupted by a strange and mysterious beast that the islanders call “Gojira.” Kōichi survives the experience and returns to postwar Tokyo, to find a city and nation in ruins. However, it quickly becomes clear that Godzilla is not finished with Kōichi – or Japan – yet.
