398. Alien: Resurrection – All-ien 2024 (#—)

This week, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Alien: Resurrection.

In the distant future, the terror of the xenomorph is nothing but a distant memory. The company has faded into history. However, on a ship at the extreme reaches of known space, the government is conducting cloning experiments in the hope of resurrecting Ellen Ripley. However, these scientists are much more interested in the creature she carries inside of her, which is now part of her DNA.

This week, John Lafia’s Child’s Play 2.

Following a series of unexplained traumatic events, Andy Barclay has been taken into foster care, hoping to put the nightmare of “Chucky” behind him. Unfortunately, the Play Pal Corporation has other ideas. Desperate to put rumours about their Good Guy Dolls to rest, the company decides to reconstruct the doll at the centre of that horrific incident. Naturally, the doll takes on a life of its own, and Chucky resumes his fixation on the young victim who got away.

This time, William Malone’s feardotcom.

Detective Mike Reilly has spent the past few years in pursuit of the online serial killer who goes by the name of “the Doctor”, a murderer who streams his crimes on the internet for all to watch. Reassigned after failure to show any results, Reilly finds himself investigating a seemingly unrelated case of contagion that is spreading through New York City. However, Reilly soon discovers that the two cases are more closely linked than he could have imagined.

At time of recording, it was ranked 67th on the list of the worst movies of all time on the Internet Movie Database.
