I confess to being reluctant to see this movie in theaters because I worry it will be similar to The Artist. A perfectly entertaining movie that got overblown because it was a throwback to another era, whether it be silent film or a musical respectively. Would you say it is better or worst than that film?
I loved The Artist a lot, so I might be the wrong person to ask. But I did like La La Land more. The Artist was my fifth favourite film of the year that I saw it. I think La La Land was my third favourite film I saw last year, even though it was only released here this past weekend.
