Just a head’s up for anybody interested in Irish film, the Fingal Film Festival is kicking off tonight in Swords. A weekend of screenings and workshops held at the movies@ cinema in Swords, the Fingal Film Festival is both a celebration of existing film talent and a hotbed for new talent. The festival will be held over the weekend from the 26th through to the 28th of September. It is opening tonight with Gia Coppola’s Palo Alto, based on James Franco’s short story of the same name. It will close on Sunday with an awards ceremony celebrating the best in film.
